Holy Cow

So I haven't posted anything since 2008. What's new? Oh I don't know just a few minor things like- I'm divorced. I live in a new house. I am happy. (YES I HAVE THE KIDS so stop asking me that. Why wouldn't the mother get the kids?! SERIOUSLY?) I almost moved back to Texas in June but that was NOT a good choice and me and the kids are VERY happy we're still in AZ. We truly love it here. Say it with me now: "It's a dry heat".

I love my kids. I love my life. I love my house. I love my friends. I love the direction my life is heading. I love running. And when I'm not running, my mind is running a mile a minute- but you all know that's nothing new. I'm still painting, playing/singing/listening to music, and making jewelry. I've learned in this last year that I am stronger than I ever thought I was. I have also learned that I have amazing people that surround me and I never ever knew how many people really loved me. I am so grateful. I have also learned that I truly have no regrets. Just looking forward- don't look back. But the most important lesson I learned is NEVER EVER SAY HANG IN THERE. IT'S THE MOST POINTLESS PHRASE EVER. PLEASE STOP IT AND ERASE FROM YOUR VOCABULARY!!!!!

Makena started 6th grade this year and Sam started 3rd. Both my kids are awesome, smart, and drive me insane but in a good way. Makena is uber organized and self motivated and just follows the straight and narrow. Sam is hilarious, still a jokester, scattered and hates rules- he is well- ME. They are gorgeous, they scare me to death, and keep me centered. I don't think I'd have made it the last year if I didn't have my kids. (THANKS CHICKENS!) They are the reason I got out of bed on many difficult days. They still keep me focused on doing the right thing.

I started my new job today. I work for a company called BluePay. I learned today that credit card companies are TRULY THE DEVIL. And now I get to understand WHY they are the devil. I will help companies save $$ while explaining the fees, etc and getting them set up with better programs. I love analyzing. I love numbers. And I love money. This job is going to be fun... and I might just be kinda kick ass at it.

I hate blogging. So this is all you get. It's not that I don't enjoy writing, I just don't like taking time with details. If this isn't enough info for you, call me. I'll tell you all about it and talk for hours on end. There. I'm done blogging til 2010!

I've been a busy girl lately... making jewelry, painting, and enjoying working again! It's been over 10 years since I've had a 'j.o.b.' but I do love it! I get to work with one of my passions- BEADS.
Here's a few pics of what I've been doing the last few months.

I painted this picture for Ady Bugaroo's birthday.

Designed a ChaCha bracelet- this one is autumn colors. It won't be featured on my website because it's made with Swarovski Crystals- not gemstones or natural crystals. I get compliments on this every time I wear it- so it'll be a regular for my trunk shows, etc.

Had another birthday. Just turned 38! Where'd the time go?

Went to the fair with the kids. This is me and my son going down the giant slide!

I'm making a bunch of paintings for my friend's holistic pet market. Thought a doggie bone was appropriate. It's still in the works... but this is the idea. I will put a few sayings on this one and I've got a bunch of other ideas for the store. Good times... By the way, GO TO NOBLE BEAST PETS. Kitty enjoying a nice cool porcelain sink. How do you spell porcelain? He likes the sink... the ONLY surface he's allowed on... bathroom sink. He drinks from the tap- what a spoiled kitty.

Marley girl looking absolutely pathetic. She's trying to find a cool surface to lie on... who said it was fall? It was 107 today!!!

Just can't leave good enough alone...

I didn't like the rainbow effect on the feathers so I jazzed it up a bit... I am walking away. I am done. Putting it down... I'm done??? Yes. I think so. Added some green to the centers of each feather. I may still need to add more color to the ends... not sure... dang it. I don't think I'm done. haha!

Finally done with the feathers... I love peacocks. I love them. I heart them- I adore them. Know this and be at one with this. TIFFANY LOVES FEATHERS- especially peacock feathers.


Here's how it went throughout the process:



Add a few days of bug eyes from painting tiny little lines... and voila! You're done. LOL!!! It was quite a process but I enjoyed it. It was more fun than painting flowers that's for sure.

Hello Loto

So I am finally done with the lotus. Even though I share a birthday with Georgia O'Keefe, I am not going to be one that focuses on flowers. They are beautiful- but difficult!!!! I will post the inspiration for this painting and the finished product. You be the judge...

Seriously the last flower pic I'm gonna do. Next project is to finish the peacock feathers, make some bone, doggy, & kitty pics for my friend's pet market, dragons for AJ's book (I have not forgotten), then the abstracts for the other book... lots going on and that's just the art projects I'm doin! Busy bee!!!!
